    ... to the bunk house for the last 3 nihhts...much better value - the bunkhouse had a kitchen and more room than the private rooms. Only bad thing was I spent about 2.5 hours scrubbing down the was too gross to even cook in - you know, just because you are a hiker, doesn't mean you can be a total F'n slob - news flash, you can clean up after yourself......unless you have your mommy with you to clean up after your lazy/dirty/disrespecting ass. Finally ...

    ... cut through Maine instead of returning down the same uninteresting highways through New Brunswick and Quebec. This worked out well as our route took us away from the interstate, down country roads and gave us a glimpse into life in this little known state.

    Tonight we're staying at a HoJo on the outskirts of Bangor before heading further west tomorrow. As of right now the next destination is still up in the air.

    Monday it came. I ran to the post office in the rain and they awarded me an 11 month VISA. I leave Sunday.
