    ... couple of road signs that said 'Thickly Settled', which I was mystified by (are they talking about my waistline?) It turns out that it means densely populated and you must not drive more than 30 mph. Who knew?

    The end of the day brought us to Mystic, CT. We walked around a bit as the sun was going down, catching some beautiful light and chatting with a road-tripping couple from Seattle. They have a motorhome and are spending a year on the road. I'm envious.

    We left off last week at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York. The library is repository for all documents accrued during FDR's 12-year presidency (1933-45). Jens has been working for a number of years on a book about the Danish physicist and Nobel-laureate Niels Bohr. He had been looking forward to spending time during research at the library.
