Although we had planned on 6 months we made it 113 days and Terry drove the motorhome 7,478 miles and 6,480 in the Jeep totaling 13,958.
We saw everything we wanted to see and were lucky to have good weather every where we went until we hit the south and got the rain and humidity.
Our next journey will continue next year....Stay tuned.
We made it to Jacksonville, Florida, Thursday, July 3rd, after a real nice evening in Gulfport, Mississippi. I definitely did much better on the room accommodations, landing us just a few blocks from the beach. We used the limited time we had left in the day to walk the beach and then found a great little Italian restaurant called Salute for dinner. All in all, I'd say a much better evening than the previous night!

... and romantic meal at one restaurant and caught some terrific live music at an outdoor bar. First Mate also rode her bike nearly every day. The marina was near a beautiful subdivision with live oaks shading the street, with the ICW on one side and a marsh on the other. The marina was also right next to one of the biggest schools for the deaf and blind in this country although First Mate never heard or saw anybody around (bad joke). Tyler had his 8th B-Day today! We took a walk around town touring the various shops. Unbeknownst to Tyler we were waiting for him to get excited about something so we could pick it up when he wasn't looking. Sure enough, he ended up with a slingshot and stink bombs. ... decision. We went on a free tour of the newly opened distillery and even got to sample their freshly brewed vodka. We then headed to a little cafe where they play live music all afternoon. It was a bit of a bikers place but it was nice to sit out in the sun with a cider and listen to some proper American music. When we were done there, we visited the lighthouse (which was closed unfortunately) and then went for some food by the beach. My relaxing end to the weekend ...
