      We found the beach! Finally, after driving for days, we reached St. Augustine and our hotel on St. Augustine beach. Actually, we stayed on Anastasia Island, a barrier island just off the coast of St Augustine, the oldest town in the US.       ... it was a 10 year old battery so the fact that it lasted this long, especially with the way we use it, is pretty impressive. Without the battery, we had no radio, fridge or sink power so we had to stay at a campsite for the evening. We found a nice family run place in Yulee and stayed there for the night.       ... and romantic meal at one restaurant and caught some terrific live music at an outdoor bar. First Mate also rode her bike nearly every day. The marina was near a beautiful subdivision with live oaks shading the street, with the ICW on one side and a marsh on the other. The marina was also right next to one of the biggest schools for the deaf and blind in this country although First Mate never heard or saw anybody around (bad joke).
