    ... and only the walls remain. It's now the center of a traffic roundabout and stands as a reminder. More famously, Plymouth is the site the Pilgrims we remember on Thanksgiving set sail on the Mayflower from. James took us down to the water front, and what a view!     Well, after 60 mile an hour winds last night and torrential rain, it looks as if the weather may ease sufficiently to give us a window for departure.

    So we should start Wednesday at 7am and will head for Ushant and across the Bay of Biscay towards the north west cape of Spain, cap finisterre where there is always at least a gale blowing!

    Our next chance to go away was Saturday 30th May - after phoning around on Friday there was availability at Whitsand Bay, Blue Anchor, Ladram Bay and Highlands End - We decided on th latter. After phoning up at 9.30 and booking a gravel pitch with hook up we set off. after booking in we headed off to high acres field and told to take any pitch that was free.
