... my own again. I go for a day or two somewhere else in Koh Samui and then take the boat to Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Of course I have no plan ;) although ... I leave the 23rd from Koh Samui to Kuala Lumpur and arrive the 24th, around the beginning of the afternoon in Sydney. I stay two days and return "home" on Sunday, back in Hannaford. Secretly I miss Hannaford a bit. Not because I want to leave this paradise, but I miss the family and farm ...

I got to Koh Samui at around 11am, the place the girls had booked me into was very far out from the main area and it was pretty pointless for me to just be staying one night there (we were heading to Koh Phangan the next day for all the stuff that goes on the few days leading up to the full moon) but I was really eager to see Rhiannon and Laura and had nowhere else I needed to be, soo why not. ... mini-bus for a tour of some of the other hotels (some of them very swanky - one of them had a Royal Wing!) before finally getting to the pier our speedboat was due to leave from. The plan for the day? Some snorkelling, followed by a trip to a lagoon (that featured in Danny Boyle's film The Beach) and then on for some sea kayaking. First however was breakfast, and it's good that first impressions count for little as breakfast was underwhelming. Described as ...

Evening time we hit a really nice restaurant owned by an Aussie who had travelled heredecided to stay. Nine years later, he has a native girl and of course the cutest kid, who kind of comes with the furniture, darting around you as you have your food. A burger to die for and good company of course, it was going to be a chilled evening until tomorrow. Hello 4000 islands
