... her job. She’s doing great though and we appreciate her efforts.

After supper Mom and Andy went to sit on the deck for a while and we went to the arcade. I eventually left the kids and Dan there and went to the casino for a try at some poker. My first hand seemed promising as I landed a flush and won three time what I bet, but in typical fashion it did not take me long to lose the $40 I was playing with.

Anyway, that’s about it for today. It’s ...
Ocho Rios, Jamaica adellegThe ship docks at Ochos Rios in Jamaica so we decided to just do a little shopping onshore .Jamaica is a fairly poor country so competition is very strong for any sort of business that they can get. After you leave the ship it's a kilometre walk down to a few shopping centres. About 15 different people asked if we wanted a taxi and then once in the stores the store ...
Ocho Rios, Jamaica youngsinusa2009... of our culture as it has become a regular theme - even in our music.

It is evident that, in some aspects, the agenda of our leaders has changed and have left us wondering why. Why has the same level of fervor that was placed into campaigning not put into actually fulfilling those promises? Sixty million dollars of Government money is being used to renovate a home for just one person. That $60M could be better spent clothing, feeding, providing shelter and ...
Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica jehmyni... but they got to sit in the back. I got to sit front row as close to the middle i could get. The minister was really hard to understand but he talked about hellshire being damned b/c not enough people there believing in jesus. sooo 3 hours later when church ended i was ready to relax. Most of the voleenters didnt go to church and went to the beach. So all of us from the church went to go meet them and got there just as they were leaving. Also before ...
Hellshire, Jamaica phantom1212Ocho is an interesting city, divided by a straight line, on one side (from the center to the port), relatively safe area day and night, upscale boutique, restaurants and on the other side, the chaos and not so safe area. There are a few hundreds meters of beachfront.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica gratienWe had a wonderful honeymoon cruise! Hung out at the beach in jamaica and did some shopping along with eating at margaritaville! Snorkeled in Grand Cayman and hung out with sting rays!! Road four wheelers in Playa Del Carmen where i flipped mine!! only mild injury!!
Montego Bay, Playa Del Carmen, Grand Cayman, Jamaica emifaulk... a bottle of Pepsi. Not to mention a bowl of nugget sized ice! We enjoyed a great meal of fruit, soup, Kingfish, shrimp and lobster - I'd almost forgotton what one tasted like. The owner Dickie, joined us later for a chat, a very colourful character who apparently served Prince Charles and Princess Anne some years back. Anyway, a lovely experience. Time to go as we're off tomorrow morning for who knows where?
Port Antonio, Jamaica, Jamaica on-oncruising... ticket to Chicago, but he didn't. As I said "fix it, fix it" over and over she managed to put Malcolm on standby. We got the the gate, explained the situation, and they offered us another solution. They said we could go on the NEXT flight to chicago, but in first class. Phew... okay. So we eventually made it to chicago together, only about 12 hours late. The rest of the trip was much calmer. Malcolm was able to meet my family. I was ...
MoBay, Jamaica bobbie7781... listen to the questions the lady was asking me. All to soon the interview was over, but Jess and I did a really good job. We returned to the Peace Corps office to watch the tape our CD had made. I then sat down with my APCD and discussed my future in Peace Corps. Jess and I decided that it was time to eat something then leave. We got on the bus back to MoBay around noon, and arrived around 5:30. It was a hellish trip, and I was so glad to be home FINALLY. Even ...
MoBay, Jamaica bobbie7781This was a horrible nasty little place I hope to never see again. When you walk down the street, it is filthy and taxi drivers nag at you and then throw insults when you refuse to take a taxi. I Came. I Saw. I LEFT! One almost saving feature of this hideous place was swimming in the water, but even that turned south when I felt what I believe to be a sewer pipe under my feet.
