... t I be? I quit my job, threw whatever I could in my backpack, bought a plane ticket to a strange land, and decided to loose myself there for the next five weeks....genius. Ok well I still have a ton of stuff to do before tomorrow. I will update soon. Till next time...
San Diego, California, United States christian.rodasMy kids just love the Balboa Park. December Nights in Balboa Park is one annual family event we try to enjoy every year. So this time we are going to San Diego to check out the festivities in Balboa Park on December 4th and 5th. Balboa Park is delightfully lit up with sparkling lights. The best part is a chance to savor lip smacking delicacies from different countries ranging from ...
San Diego, California, United States carenmorgan9... scary as anything at Disneyland or Knottsberry Farm - geared for a much younger crowd.
Anyway am just going to post pics and videos and that's it, then to bed!
We fly out tomorrow evening...sad to be leaving but will be great to be in our own beds again.
Goodbye USA, until we meet again.

... was delicious. Mmm.
Each time I come back to the USA from a lesser-developed country, I do have a much greater appreciation for it than before. San Diego was only about a 45-minute drive. We went into downtown. As I was driving I noticed an old sailing ship. I've been really interesting in sailing lately, so I thought we should go over and take a look. It turned out to be the Maritime ...
... the little things, and I love the high-pitched ‘bonjour’ at every meeting and greeting, the voice lilting upward like hope springing eternal. So what if WiFi is hard to find and the little blue ball doesn’t always work even when you do? That’s what the Skype green-check-light is for. I’m giving France the green light, but the future belongs to Europe. If they can get it together, then so can we ...

San Diego, California, United States pavigneaultI just wrote this entry and lost it, so this version will be more prosaic: - San Diego is a very pretty and livable town. Not hip, creative or liberal, maybe even boring - but beautiful and comforting, and very American - an apt place from which to drop off the map. A couple of observations about the US: - Gambling - there are casinos in practically ...
San Diego, California, United States bocalee... my only worry was not swaying too far outside of the crosswalk lines when I walked home after a mellow night with friends. All the BIO show walking and wine is going to help me sleep well tonight before my long day of connecting flights tomorrow. P.S. Enjoyed a delightful lunch at Cafe Chloe in the East Village. Lavender lemonade and gourmet mac n'cheese rocked.
San Diego, California, United States cklenotic... hour flight to Bangkok. All that sitting will hopefully make arriving at one in the morning in a city half a world away from home more relieving then nerve wracking. Hope you enjoy these little updates of mine. Check back again soon, and let me know what you think. I'll be putting some photos here, but if you want to see more, you can check out my Flickr account too. Andrew
