This hotel is fantastic. I was traveling to Thailand for my 21st Birthday and had heard great reviews about this hotel.
I traveled with my boyfriend and another couple, on our arrival the other couple were put downstairs and us upstairs. there room was a lot better and I was a little upset that they had the better room and it was my birthday. I went and told reception and without any hassle they changed us to a downstairs room that was also set up for a honeymoon and it was lovely.
The pool, the staff, the service were wonderful I could not fault if I wanted to. Right in the middle of all the action, 10 minutes to the beach, 5 to Bangala night strip.
This hotel is great if your looking for something very central, great service and a really nice hotel, looks better than a lot of other 3 star hotels in Patong :)
The only advise I have to make your stay a little better ask for a downstairs room, which have a separate rainforest shower, the upstairs rooms have the shower and toilet together and the shower Is not great.

... little bugger of a storm did not pass so we decided to go to the shopping mall over the road. We spent late afternoon shopping and grabbed some dinner. Dinner was an absolute hit, thinking I'll try the chicken in this country what a shout. It comes out on a skewer and is half the size on my arm. The best chicken I have tasted while being away from home. Even better a free salad bar, it was like being in harvesters we where both in heaven! Back to the hotel for the ...
... We got a Tuk Tuk to the snake farm, which cost us 300 baht return, so 3 pounds each for there and back, which isn't bad at all, because it was a fair distance and we were stuck in quite a bit of traffic. We did contemplate a moped, for about 20 seconds, until we saw the amount of injured people in thailand from falling off them - so that idea soon passed. Better to be safe, even if it does involve paying a bit extra! When we got to the snake farm, we were introduced by ...

... chairs and a man would collect money from you but we didn't know that then. The walk itself was lovely as we walked through the water but the sun got to be a little much so we decided to go grab lunch. We ended up finding a cute Indian restaurant that served awesome butter chicken which we split because the portion sizes here for Indian food tend to be huge which was the case with this place. On the way back we decided to check out the huge (air conditioned) ...

Now unfortunately I wasn't witness to this but Russell's account had me doubled over and you'll have to ask him for details. Our 'crash' Day Skipper course was interrupted on the Thursday by the start of the Bay Regatta and the saving grace was the evenings party and location. Our skipper suddenly lost all interest in teaching any of the four students on board and instead became a man obsessed ...
