... located on the beach in the Bangrak area, I estimate just over two kilometres from our apartment, probably less. It was happy hour so you get two drinks for the price of one. Happy hours are ubiquitous on Koh Samui, some lasting an hour, some lasting many hours, most bars have them. We all settled on beers so we ordered four. We received the four beers in an exemplary near frozen state when I mentioned to the gathering that I once ordered two beers at a happy hour back home, ...

... large fidgety Russian seated in front of us, constantly lurching back, we soon switched to seats nearer the front and with good views from the windows either sides of the plane. taking it easy today on our first day in Koh Samui, trying to find our bearings a bit. Odd not to be told by a guide what to do every second of the day.

I'm sure Anna will upload more photos ...

Thailand Island Party

A travel blog entry by jjmccarthy90 on Aug 08, 2014

We took the ferry to Koh Phagan and stayed on the beach for four nights. We went to parties most nights that last the entire night. We went kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, ate at the local markets and restaurants.

We went on a tour which we rode elephants, watched "crazy burmese *******" get bit by snakes, snorkled, fed monkeys and saw the chinese temple on the island.

Noteable Moment: Crashed a motorbike into a wall
