... It can be your Asian Magaluf experience, or as I did, you can rent a bike and get out and see the island. There isn't too much sightseeing to do, but it's far better than being restricted to walking distance of your hotel. A couple of nice temples, and an underwhelming waterfall broken up by several large markets along the way. I did of course embrace the commercial side if the island. ... the tetchy response at breakfast! Jamie had found staff lying haphazardly around the train on any available flat surface when he had ventured out for an early cuppa. Aware that our train stopped at our destination Suratthani at 8am we started to pack up, thinking that, that was the trains final destination we were in no hurry. They were so accommodating, they brought me a back pillow to keep my posture up straight. They told me to sit forward on Jumbo and with my legs over the part of his body just behind his neck.
