... a super rich magnate who owned a lot of land, over a few generations, the castle and grounds just kept growing and growing. The castle was just a bit expensive for us to pay the entry to, so we just drove up as far a we could to get a look. We did see Hearst's zebra herd as we were driving out. Classic case of man with too much money and not enough to do with it.

Last day on the road before we're settled for a while!

... We pulled into the hotel entrance and all instantly fell in love with it. It was full of charm and warmth as we were greeted with coffee and cookies. Our room was beautiful.there was also an ornamental apple left in our room as a gift for us to take home. Hilfra loved it. We managed to get into the restaurant before it closed. The food was all home comfort food so I opted for Turkey pie followed with lemon meringue pie. It was great. Just before I ordered my dessert, an older ...
