Road Trip
... and out to sea. Couple of stops on the way to take photos but pulled into our stop for the night in San Simeon just in time for happy hour on Margaritas and to watch the sun go down and to sample the clam chowder. One of the best days of the trip so far.
Next day we had a short trip down the coast to Pismo Beach to hop on a California Wine Tour. Turned out we were the only people on it so was another private tour - hooray, more wine for us! Was nice ...
Back to the Central Coast
... of the Mustangs of Cal Poly SLO and Marylou gives him her ticket so he can 'partake' of homecoming (Beer and Tr-Tip pre-game) and the game itself.
Apart from that it is .... catching-up .... viewing real estate ... movies ..... and restaurants ..... not a bad lifestyle.

Detour 3 hours to travel 1 mile on Big Sur
... was well over 100 miles long. Along the way, we nearly ran out of petrol and spent about an hour driving through an area used for army training. There was also a large army base with more military vehicles than we had ever seen. There was even a huge military transport plane (the type with a large ramp at the back) taking off. The temperature was atleast 12°C warmer inland than on the coast.
