Mission Site
This is the site of the oldest Jesuit mission in Arizona, dating back to 1751. It is now in ruins and is being preserved by the volunteers of National Parks. It is a neat site to walk around and take photos - we probably have too many! Of course, the lifeblood of the Mission was the irrigation canal from the Santa Cruz River but being overgrown it is not very photogenic. ...
Back in the USA
Well we're back in the US. A very uneventfull border crossing, but that is not a complaint.
The drive through the Northern state of Sonora was very pleasent. There was lots of traffic on the road. It was anticlimactic after all the news we have heard.
Anyways we are back in the US, just bought gas at the shell station, and I said "Gracias" to the gas attendant, I guess I am going to have to relearn some english.
