... traffic lights, here people stand in the sweltering heat (95F) holding signs with one side "slow" and the other side "stop". It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt. We didn't have to wait long for the tram to take us to the ...

One more day on Lemon Bay

A travel blog entry by smyth on Mar 14, 2014

Hard to imagine we have been here a month already.

It has been easy to take the sun, the warmth, and the gorgeous beaches....and we have taken to daily tequila happy hour!

Sad to say we have only one more day on Lemon Bay.

We are sticking around for a few more days before we head north to but will move into Englewood proper.

We have had a great time and have met some wonderful people.

Big Lots, and Best Buys (like Noel Leemings), ....... so it goes, on and on, and I am amazed at how close together shopping centres of large size are here. Just a few miles between them it seems, I guess that's what a big population does, but it's amazing they all make a dollar ok!

The heat is interesting...... For instance it's 31-32c outside today, it was 26 at 7am, and as there was some ...

... of $8! Mitzi escaped to one of those fields for hours, finally returning when she pooped out at 9 PM. Homemade turkey soup was the main course and we were asleep by 10.

On Tuesday, June 17, we were on the road by 8:15 traveling to Iowa City, Iowa. It was a shock to see field after field of dried up corn; the farmers here are really suffering. Our new used truck is not equipped with a factory GPS and we had ...
