In the late afternoon we drove to Bellevue on the eastern side of Lake Washington. We visited the Bellevue Botanical Garden. The drive back to Seattle at sunset was amazing. We had dinner in Seattle at Von's, fantastic food!

Well, another oil change and a new front tire. Skagit Valley Polaris folks couldn't be nicer. My, how the money flies. Hard to believe the big fella is over 13,000 mi old now. Ran an errand in Bellingham and now riding south along the coast (Chuckanut Dr and Rte 11 - ah, the evergreen scent) to Anacortes. The road is glorious with twisties ...

Auto Kaputt

... closed for he night, but we stilll enjoyed our walk. When we returned, we watched Gran Torino, while Niko returned to the garage to work on the car. Good news! He found the problem! Bad news... it couldn#t be repaired. Well, it could, but the repair would cost more than the worth of the car. Now what to do??? Fly to the East coast? Rent a car for next 3 weeks for about $700? Trade our car? Sell ours on Craigslist? We decided to go to bed and rest on it.

During the beginning of the service we gave an abbreviated version of our skit to an ...

... their own. Our three support vehicles are either running ahead to set-up base, roving to make sure all pods are ok and accounted for, or running for food and essentials. The first days have been LONG, and arduous, but the team is already starting to pull together as we fight through together to achieve this crazy goal. Our logistics have been a bit out but with walkie talkies in each pod its usually easy enough to get back on ...

Sleepless in Seattle

... and customs. One young chap was detained and the bus left to continue its journey to Seattle without him. The sniffer dog didn't detect anything so we are guessing he simply didn't have his paperwork in order. Before we go any further with details of Seattle, I have a small guessing competition for you. Who can guess how many Starbuck shops are in the Seattle. Answer at the bottom of this entry. Anyway, first off we headed to ...
