Service from all was great, grounds were well kept.Room was average, seemed boxy. Bed and sofa were very hard. To many kids in pool to really enjoy. Bar at beach closed to early 6 p.m. Food at resturant was very good.

This was our first resort experience and it was everything we could have hoped or wanted - and during a full moon. The service was great, staff were friendly, well-mannered and dressed. Staff cares and maintains cleanliness on beach as well as resort grounds. The pool was awesome, the drinks and food exceptional. Money exchange and inroom safes were added benefit. Great views and waves on the beach. Beach vendors a blast and overall ambience of resort primo. We were there in the middle of February, 2003. Skip the timeshare presentation, however.
Hard sell and not worth the time you get sucked into it. Aside from that, we would recommend Sea Garden to anyone and wouldn't hesitate going there again.
Sea Garden employees are very friendly, but..

A beautiful place, easy access to the beach. Ten minutes to downtown. We were there in October, and it was hot and humid. The A/C in the room(s) we tried three, knew only two settings, fridged or off. The thermostats don't work and the staff didn't understand them. In trying to balance the room temps we opened a window a little, and the cold tile floors turn into cold wading pools from the condensing humidity. Not pleasant. The pools are great, but could do without the loud music blasted over a P. A. system all afternoon. Would be nice to be able to use the pools at night. The food areas, bar and even the hallways nearby them are dominated by timeshare sales sharks and their wranglers. If their victims could only hear the nasty things being said about them by these people behind their backs. Not a class act. We enjoyed the meals and drinks. The neighborhood is not good, so stay on the hotel grounds, or go downtown via pulmunia's(sp?) about 50 pesos. I was hoping for clear tropical blue/green ocean water. Not to be. It's as dirty looking as it is warm, and it is very warm. Beautiful sunsets.
Wonderful Vacation!

I've just returned from a week at the Sea Garden in Mazatlan. What a wonderful week!! Mario R. at the pool took care of us...made sure we had plenty of cerveza and daily drink specials. The staff at the resort is extremely friendly and helpful. For a two bedroom, the rooms were a little small, but it was fine with us. Lots of activities planned during the day, if you choose, around the pool. The painting of the ceramics was a hit. I would highly recommend this place if you're traveling as a couple, with children, or with friends. I traveled with another female and had a fabulous time. The breakfast buffet was excellent...a little pricey, but very good. A little north of the golden zone, but buses run all the time. Great vacation!

The vidafel resort in mazatlan was the best trip of my life and i'm still swooning over it! i highly suggest this hotel over the huge El Cid resort because its a little farther away from the Golden Zone and just has better people that have more fun! Go there, TRUST ME!!!
It honestly ws the best trip of my life that i will never forget

Sea Garden Mazatlan is also known as Vidafel Resort Mazatlan. It is a wonderful place on a beautiful beach with a friendy, knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of fun activities planned for the guests each day. Chuy, Carlos and Alex with the activities department are really helpful and courteous. The food is wonderful, and don't miss the Mexican Fiesta. (It was $25 in Feb 2002) It includes a delicious meal, open bar, music and entertainment.
The Best Vacation of My Life!!!

If you are considering going to Mazatlan, I urge you to stay at Vidafel Resort. It is right on the beach with the golden zone a short cab or bus ride away. The landscaping and pools are beautiful, the staff is outstanding and the activities department does a wonderful job providing everything from music trivia contests to cooking lessons. The food is wonderful, (try the tortilla soup). Don't miss the Mexican Fiesta, it was $25 per person in Feb. of 2002, which included and open bar, a delicous mexican feast, Mariachis, the Folkloric Ballet and much more. I would go back tomorrow!
Nice Resort

Very nice landscaped resort on quiet ocean side beach. Rooms were very nice. A little away from the Hotel Zone, which was nice.
