... got to see a tiger which was second on her wild life wish list – and luckily we did. It was a pleasant zoo and worth a visit. We would recommend going as early or late as possible in the day due to the heat and not around lunch time! Also there are less gangs of cheek pinching Indian tour parties around to harass the kids and more animals not having their siesta. It’s set in lush gardens with an enormous roll call of super star animals, though many did remain a bit illusive ...

We made the time pass quicker by me beating Tim in Yaatzi several times (I claim it's skill and not luck) and by watching the landscape pass by. One of the great parts about Indian trains is that they drive with their doors open (for all the moms and dads that get worried at that thought, you don't have to, the trains drive a lot slower here than home;)). We spent lots of ...

That morning Rory decided he wanted to give surfing a go and get a lesson. Although the waves were good in Kovalam we decided that we would save it for Oz and just rent some body boards instead. After half an hour of full on effort Rory became tired and was nice enough to let us have a go. The teacher wasnt the best in the world and openly addmitted to not really being able to surf much himself. ...

... that we could hear over the sea anyway. Back at the guesthouse we heard a knock at the door not long after returning. It was the little man who runs it (and speaks no English) pointing out that it was raining, really heavily! We stood out on our balcony to witness the tropical rain and hoped it would clear the air a bit. It didn't. During the day we went and had breakfast on the seafront, and walked about a bit. As well as being muggy it was also overcast and very cloudy. We stopped ...
