    ... wanting to tour the backwaters by boat so we caught the bus out of Kovalam to Trivandrum, and got off just in time for another downpour.     ... The make-up was done by the individual and very detailed and the costumes had many many pieces to it with sometimes three men to help put on a costume. We didn’t see the whole costume prior to the show so there was still an element of surprise when the character was introduced.     So i came here to see the tribes of India, firstly i visit the markets. It is almost like england where you hear the stall owners calling 10 rupees foe a kilo if chillis, tomatoes, etc. There are live chickens in baskets and fresh fish on sale as well. The markets are full of various tribes people selling there own produce, women with gold conical gold studs(Bhatra), men with simple head scarves(Bhurwa)
