... at the chance of saving some money and being able to chill at the beach all day. Alas, they sorted it out, and I was heading out for my dives at 12pm. After practising a few skills with the equipment, we went out onto the reef. Both dives were pretty good, with decent visibility around us, and plenty of fish. It was no great barrier reef though, I think my first dive in Australia back in 2007 has spoilt me. I’d been hanging out with two of the ...

That said we decide this accommodation is lovely and despite a bit more than we wanted to pay it will be great to be here the weekend at least to chill out and get ready for the the next move. Before we made any rash decisions on where to stay or dive we needed ...

... we didn't miss our last dives because they were great, we saw an eagle ray again, spotted drum fish, angel fish, trumpet fish and a moray eel amongst other cute little creatures. I did end up using my air a little too quickly on both dives, but I guess Ill just have to practice to get perfect. I loved my time on Utila, it is an awesome diver heaven, but if you're all dived out and don't feel the need to get more t-shirt fame, its time to move ...

... had one of those 'for **** sake' moments. Alex had undone the two quick release buckles on the shoulder straps fully instead of just loosening them rendering the jacket I was now trying to get on strapless. I felt around for the clips to rejoin them muttering expletives in my head and then noticed that Alex was having difficulty caused by getting tangled in the hoses. Now the option of abandoning did cross my mind as I was again beginning to feel breathless but there was ...
