    The kids woke us up this morning. By the time we woke up, we were docked in Fort Lauderdale. We got ourselves dressed and finished packing up our last minute items into our carry-on bags before saying goodbye to our cabins.

After Lake Okeechobee the crops changed to sugar cane and cattle.  There were a couple of huge fires near the road, presumably burning off cane fields (although we never did find out for sure).  Then we were driving alongside the Everglades until we got into the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale and found our hotel.
