... on. At the end of the docks we went on to the Reijn Kannal (along with a lot of the big barges) and changed flags at the Belgian Dutch border where once again the only sign is the Belgian trees disappear.

We then had a big lock to lower us into the low country of Holland proper. 4 os us sport boats had to mill about waiting to be called into the lock amongst lots of huge barges. We saw some black clouds forming so Isi put on full waterproofs and then John ...

Day 18 & 19 - Arrived in Brussels in Belgium for a 2 night stay. As always heaps to fit in. First up was the Atomium which was built for the World Expo in 1958. Back to Antwerp via train and tram for the night.

The course line drawn on the chart that leads towards the English Channel ends in the area of the Bishop Rock, from which way-point they move to the next chart for the English Channel proper. It is a nicety of modern navigation that they still draw a pencil line on the charts showing the course, and mark it every one ...

... I decided it was time for some dinner anyways. I grabbed street cuisine known as Currywurst which is cut up sausage in curry and a side of frites! Of course, I sided with the traditional Koln Kolsch. After dinner, I hung around the main part of town people watching and hanging out. Before it got rowdy, I headed back to the hotel for a restful night. Today was chill but tomorrow with the day parade should be a bit crazy! Until then.
