... of more walking around. We visited the Manneken Pis (a small statue of a boy peeing) and the Atomium (a giant statue of an atom). Then finished off back in the Grand Place at the Folk festival to get a Belgium sausage on a baguette for lunch, yum!

With all of us falling asleep on the train ride back, I think that was proof enough of a very busy and exciting weekend trip away.

... The church houses four works by Rubens who was a local lad [along with Van Dyk]. The church was built from the taxes on the people and they continue the theme today by requiring visitors to pay an entry fee. That mumble aside, it is truly an impressive building.

    ... and had to take a 45ish minute bus trip from the airport to the Midi bus station. We stupidly assumed midi meant the middle of Brussels. It didn't.
    Not only was Midi a bus station but also a metro, train and chunnel station. You could also shop there. Basically it was huge. But, since we arrived there at midnight, it was basically abandoned. With, of course, the exception of the truly sketchy people. Note- never do that again.
