I have been reluctant to write and send more pictures because - with the exception of our west coast friends - the rest of you still seem to be getting battered by winter. Didn't want to tick you all off! Will winter ever end on the prairies this year??

For the first time in a few weeks we woke up to a lovely warm van.. and kicked off the duvets... the noise of the 101 road had kept us awake a bit but we felt reasonably rested... the sun was shining and the sky was blue what more could we ask..
mark came to fetch us from the car park and we spent the day chatting and sorting out tonights stay perhaps somewhere quieter.. Svetlana cooked an awesome prawn curry and we moved the van to its new location .. a more peaceful car ...

... yes. Walter/Linda and Jim/Della joined us at this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom quaint abode costing $2.475 million and rents out at $2500 per day. Yikes!!
Everything is grand, upscale, sophisticated and smattered with wild west influences - big timbers, thick wood funiture, big stone arches, big windows, heavy wood trim, big doors, big patio, big BBQ, big kitchen, high ceilings (covered with split wooden slats), huge bedrooms, ...
... home after 3 days, talk about drama! OK, back to Namibia 2011:
1) Margie who is math faculty and one of the drivers lost her passport a few days ago. Or rather she couldn't find it and she is due to hop on a plane in a few days as she's traveling down ahead of us. So $500 later and a trip to Tucson and hopefully she'll have an emergency passport issued.
2) I don't have a passport yet! I sent in my passport ...
