Our first destination is York, PA where we will visit our long-time friend Sharon Loy (maid of honor at our wedding). While there, we plan to visit the Gettysburg battlefield. My great-great grandfather, Capt. Walter R. Perry fought there with the 10th New York Cavalry. We'll also go to the State Archives and the State Library to research my Pennsylvania ancestors.

It was rainy and yucky when we left Ocala. We hope to make it to Charlotte tonight. AAA planned ...

... a Florida Panther, a Black Bear, Florida Key deer and white tailed Deer. I think I will do a separate blog entry for my pictures of birds as I have quite a few! I am practicing with my new camera and lens prior to our African trip.

After we got home we went to see Kathleen Kane and the 007 Band at Sumter Landing. BRRR! When that sun goes down it gets quite chilly. But there's never a dull moment in the Villages!

... to Americans. For days the stores have been leading up to Black Friday (tomorrow) and the paper this morning had two sections larger than the paper itself full of advertising flyers. I even watched the Macy's Santa Claus parade in New York where it was cold and snowing. This was a first for me I think! The enormous balloon floats were uunbelievable and included Michael's favourite, Thomas the Tank Engine, for the first time.

... advantage of being on my own to do some food shopping and the kids were still asleep when I got home. After I got the groceries put away Michael and I played ball on the side yard and then we all walked to the pond west of here and checked out the Sanibel pool on the way back. Michael decided it felt great so after naps tomorrow we are off for a swim.
