First day of our trip and pinching ourselves. Will be traveling with our longtime friends Ben and Maureen Judkins for the next couple of months. Spent this afternoon exploring bicycle trails and hiking to see the two waterfalls in the park. Took Molly on the hike with us and she loved swimming in the waterfall pool. We would have loved to join her but were not allowed. Heading to Cave City, TN ...

Speed limits a bit confusing, my Satnav said 70mph and everyone seems to be doing that, but the signs said 55mph.
As usual all the signs had minimum speed limits too.
Got to Fort Payne and it was shut!!! Followed some Trail of Tears signs to a Cherokee Chief's home, called the Andrew Ross house. The house is now privately owned, although photographs of the outside are encouraged.

... both the East and West Rims. I camped on the West Rim and I would advise anyone that goes to do the same. The campsites are much more spread out and secluded then the east side and the West Rim Loop Trail is located on this side.
