After our Carthage College visit, we started our eastern leg staying in South Bend, Indiana. Of course, we had to tour the beautiful Notre Dame University campus, with old buildings - ate lunch with summer students in cafeteria...bring on the ice cream! The Notre D admissions counselor asked Adhya if he could add her to their mailing list :-)....only 5 more years!
... boats of some type still navigate the waterway. We saw lots of recreational boats, but nothing commercial.
We continued on back to camp and are preparing to pack up and head out again tomorrow. The plan is to go east to Utica, NY, the gateway to Adirondack Park. We have reservations to ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad on Sunday out of Utica, so hopefully we'll have good weather. We'll let you know later.
