We set out at 11ish and drove to Pennsylvania. Annette spotted a former mill she had been to with family before so we stopped and had a look around. They had interesting descriptions and artefacts, and it was a picturesque spot. I spotted a few horse drawn carriages driven by Amish folk on the way for Sunday visits, as is the custom; it is quite a sight, as they dress in traditional garb. If you ...

Bit of a sleep in and breakfast provided this morning. Didn't need to be on the bus until 8am. I told tour guide it was Aofie's 17th Birthday today and we should sing Happy Birthday to her. Livened everyone up a bit more. First stop is Amish Village in Ronks, Lancaster County Pennsylvania. An Amish farm that has been turned into a museum. Had farmhouse, barn, ...

... plush toys of the different candy characters. I find this kind of odd, ok the Hershey's Kiss character is cute but the others are a bit odd looking but when in Hershey! Oddly enough the Twizzler character is a teddy bear.... weird. Anyway then it was off on our way to our New Jersey hotel. We took the kids swimming (again) and ate dinner. Anyhow I actually have a story about the town and name if you click on the Intercourse (3 times lol) picture!! I had read about a Halloween parade that was happening that evening, on a Monday and in the dark. How odd is that? Well it sounded like fun so we ended up in Lititz, PA which was named by budget travel “The coolest small town in ...

... read the caption about the bridge and it says The 1859 Poole Forge covered bridge…It’s THE BRIDGE. Not only is it THE BRIDGE but I could swear, right there along the creek is THE LOG.

Thank you Dad for putting me here in Pennsylvania at this time, for nudging me to pick up that boring RV magazine at this time, and for letting me know that our time together and that log by the creek was special to you too. I love and miss you everyday!
