Lost in time and space

... to have come down with the flu, so we are hoping that he will be able to make it out in a few days. But flu symptoms and flying for 27 hours were not a combination he really wanted to try, so he is staying home for the day. Hopefully it's a short lived bug and he is able to join us shortly! Greg, Cari, Paul and Jan should be in Australia by this time. Today it is Mom, George and myself making the trek! Wish us luck!

Elder Heart was created by Magnus as a Veteran organization that does community projects as well as public, private and corporate ART to raise awareness that makes a huge difference for the 22 Veteran suicides that take place every day. ... was the first real artist in the area. Most of the rest of the neighbors were farmers and thought he and his wife were nuts! They built a beautiful Victorian style house with porches all the way around it and lots of gardens that the wife grew flowers in instead of food.
TC himself would invite other artists to come out and paint the landscapes (his favorite subject). He ended up with quite a following.

... there even made hand made brats! Everything was delicious, and, as usual, the people are so friendly.
Jeni and I spent the evening sipping marguerita's and chatting until after one in the morning. The coyotes in the hills came out and howled for us. I guess they wanted us to go to bed.
I really wish I had taken some photos today, but I don't think I picked up the big camera all day :-(

This morning Jeni took me into Nashville. It's an adorable little artists colony. We browsed around and found some really cute things for the Midwest room. Shipping them cost a fortune, but they are on their way!
