So off we go to Nashville, the weather is rainy, misty and weird but it makes a nice relaxing drive through the hills and forest. We got up at 7:15 AM today but got started around 8:30 AM. Today was the last day of our hike so our packs felt lighter and we didn't fill up our water bladders. We had figured, from the map, the car was 9 miles away and that we could drop pack at the car before finishing the last 4 miles.

... was detour in the hike due to logging, which we knew about, but we failed to take the alternate route, which messed up our sense of direction at a Y and we went back north for almost .5 mile, thank you compass.
