Mitch and I left for Crooked Creek Parking parking lot, Yellowwood State Forest, after work to drop my car off at the end of the trail, well 2 miles shy of the end. We got to Morgan-Monroe State Forest around 8:00 PM and setup camp at the campground. We were the only campers that night and was fortunately the only night we had rain.
... and one within the last 4 miles. We also had a lot of road/gravel road walking again today. We actually road walk a little too much near the end because the road we needed was not blazed, map marker #22. From map marker #22 to #23 there is zero blazes. We stopped only once while we were on US 46, not the safest walk or stopping point. We did notice a couple of places ...
We, Mitch didn't move from his sleeping bag until 7:30 AM, got up at 7:00 AM today but got a late start at around 8:45 AM. The weather was still a bit cold at 40
degrees. Mitch and I made breakfast and hit the trail with the sun and 15.86 miles to walk today.
We stopped about 4 miles in to sync up with Ryan. We had quite a bit of road/gravel road ...
... shelter was very nice and allowed us to dry off the tent from the night before. There was plenty of room for 8+ people but found ourselves being the only ones there that night. This was the only night we had a camp fire, about 4 hours worth. Pretty sweet setup.

... to have come down with the flu, so we are hoping that he will be able to make it out in a few days. But flu symptoms and flying for 27 hours were not a combination he really wanted to try, so he is staying home for the day. Hopefully it's a short lived bug and he is able to join us shortly! Greg, Cari, Paul and Jan should be in Australia by this time. Today it is Mom, George and myself making the trek! Wish us luck!
