The seven hour flight is relatively uneventful other than Rob Roy can't wait for the beach making her rounds with elbows high and fake smiles firing off volleys of turkey buns to appease the restless. They did compliment the two hundred plus with a free beverage, dinner and a roll. We arrive in Lima after an eighteen hour grunt from Calgary at 1:15am. Our pick-up is waiting at the exit with his " Mr. Creestopher Hanseen" sign, a welcome sight. ...

Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.

Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... pedicure, they are back to normal. So not only did I get a wonderfully relaxing spa treatment, I also walked away with the peace of mind that I was successfully readjusting to Houston.
Simply Divine gets my highest recommendation. The woman who works the counter can be a bit standoffish, but don't let her stop you from going. All in all, the service and amenities are probably the best you'll find in Houston (and the reviews on Yelp reflect this ...

... crazy tall buildings, the Boston Bayou river, some cool statues & water fountains, a really old steam train before hopping on the tram line down to the museum & zoo area. The zoo is set is an awesome, huge park which has a section that looks just like a mini Washington, D.C. I got freeze burns on my tongue & lips from an ice lolly - they bled & were really painful, ouchy :( after that We walked around the park before grabbing some more bikes & ...
