... people was the parent company, they decided to save it. They carefully took it apart to remodel the store and when they reopened, it was a big celebration attended by all sorts of digitaries.
The original plan for the day was to then go over to Jonesboro to visit a couple of more GWTW places, but because we spent so much time at the first two places they will have to wait for another time. Guess we'll just have to come back to Atlanta area someday.
... Eventually, over time, it became an unassuming restaurant, one of those "holes in the wall," as people affectionately call these places, filled with an assortment of good people who gather here, because the locals know the best places to eat.

Anyway, I was thrilled with the revised route to get back home, going from Tuskegee, to Horseshoe Bend park, to home, the GPS steered me mostly through Alabama back roads which were hilly & curvy, with a good speed limit, decent road conditions, and light traffic... so it was actually a very fun couple hours of riding to finish out the trip... I couldn't ask for more.

... to try and post some thoughts about what I see and perhaps more importantly about how these places impact me. If you read along, don't expect anything too deep. Hopefully I can share with family and friends my experiences as they unfold.

I have traveled that way before and all I remember is flatland and nothing to look at for miles and miles, a new adventure for us.......well thats about it for now, I will take pictures and post them as we get going, until then CYA down the road....micky D's has breakfast waiting for me..
