... they weren't kidding. Our first hill was right out of the start gate and most people had to walk it or do some "cross training" as the guides prefer to call it. The ride around the perimeter was beautiful. We ended up at the visitor center where we met a guide who told a great story about the civil war battles and had inside gossip to share too which made it quite fun everyone in the group ride all day which was a stretch for many We ended the tour with a picnic ...

Took another stroll along the Mississippi and have now retired for the evening. Not bad for a first day. The best is yet to come! ...
