We left Calgary this afternoon at 1:15 pm. It was yet another beautiful day in YYC. Our flight arrived early in Houston at 6 pm, 26C and sunny, and we had to wait for 20 minutes on the plane before we could get to a free gate to disembark from the plane. ... museum Thursdays to visit the Museum of Natural History, the Menil Collection and the Photography Museum.

We spent a great day at NASA. I loved it, Dessa maybe not so much. I believe she needs to watch a lot more Star Trek in order to properly appreciate it. This suggestion was not well received but she did agree to re-watch Apollo 13. :-)

... went to Fanning Springs. Although it was quite crowded for it being the 4thof July weekend, we found a spot to park, changed into swim suits and then made our way down to the spring. We just hopped a short way to a campground between Baytown and Beach City, still within striking distance of Houston but we are travelling the right way and staying within our Passport America discount campgrounds (most economical when staying less than a week anywhere)
