... one. As visitors passing through, we got our news mainly from the local paper, and this is a hot topic. And that's the 'plane' truth.

As for the city itself, we mainly drove through the revitalized downtown area, something that we are getting used to seeing everywhere we have traveled on this trip. It seems that most cities have taken steps to reclaim older or rundown areas, filling them with pubs, restos, museums, galleries, etc, ...

... Six months ago, I never knew this connection.....in God's time it finally happened! Also loved sharing stories of visits to these towns when I was a young girl. Especially the uncle I was scared to death of who always said he would flush me down the toilet if I didn't behave!! Will have to show Gavin a picture of him when we return home! I always thought he was scary looking!! More thoughts after returning home ...

... tickets. We drove through the main road of Branson looking at all the theaters and sites. We ended up in the old historic section of town next to the river and went to a 5 & 10 store that sold anything and everything, it was huge. ... De Cristo Mnt range and there are two rivers that surround the dunes that converge. As winds blow the sand towards the mountains the rivers bring it back down and if you stand in one of the rivers it feels like you are at the ocean. As the river brings the sand back down it builds up in the river like a dam and then the dam breaks (every 20-30 seconds) and water surges (like waves)and with those surges your feet get buried, like at the ocean. Pretty cool huh. ...
