Welcome to Kansas! I think this is my 16th stop so far, and will be brief one on the way to Denver tomorrow! With a nine-hour drive ahead of us, Zach and I woke up early in Houston and packed up our stuff. On our drive to Springfield, MO we found the land to have very rolling hills and we saw Amish tooling along in their horse drawn buggies...and one intrepid farmer who also looked to be Amish driving a John Deere! As we rode along, we had one of those long talks ...

... repast at an ice cream shop. And then we headed into the worst wind that we had had in 7 days. The farmland has been flooded by the rains and many of the crops will be lost this year. Sad since the last 5 years have been a draught. We move ...
