          ... onto the boat where the deck is lined with matts. We climb up onto them lay out towels and that is to our base for the next 5 hours. We sail out of the marina and past our hotel. It looks even bigger from the water. It's probably around 30+ degrees already but the sea breeze is amazing but low. We are on the shady side because of the sail. The water is so clear and blue and we glide gently across the Aegean. After about an hour we reach the first cove. The captain drops anchor ...

          ... with musical quartets, Roman soldiers and ladies in costume. It was all very spectacular!! Then later, sitting in this very ancient amphitheatre - watching the Turkish dancers perform and then the stringed musical concert was ...as they headlined it - "A Night to Remember".
          The pics (as usual) won't do it justice...and I don't have any historical interesting bits to add in the captions ...but I just wanted to share the event.

          ... the theatre the public toilets all still there but the guide said most effort going into excavation and documentation.the long marble road,still stunning. Back to the hotel and an hour's recovery time the down to the beach for a swim, a read on the sun lounge. Hal had a Turkish bath treatment to regale us with over drinks, then we changed and had dinner with the Bothers. Stan had no wish to visit the brothers from the night ...

          We were really tired by now, but had not had lunch. We drove to Sirence and had lunch at a restaurant we had found on TripAdvisor, Sirincem.....even though we had a reservation across the road at Artemis, because our travel agent didn't know Sirincem. Well ...

          ... And then drama! After a very long day, we got a call saying the ferry was full and we can't leave Samos until Monday (today is Saturday). This caused massive frustration. Every traveller has its bad days and you just need to roll with the punches! Highlight of the day - smashing back a Big Mac combo.
