... is made and distributed in Switzerland - not sure if I like knowing that Cheese lasts for a year or not, but it was still quite awesome bc we ate lunch here and everything was full of awesome cheese!
It has been a great start so far - our program has 33 students from all over and it has been fun getting to know everyone and seeing how University life differs in Europe from the U.S!

Up early, pack camp, breakfast on boiled eggs and on the
road for the “Outlaws” Granny and Grandpa, Winkel near Zurich. We took the
scenic route over the Albula Pass via La Punt, Samedan and Chur. Driving on
such a beautiful day seemed criminal so we stopped off twice on the way to
appreciate the sunshine and beauty of the area.

Carsten has kindly given us a lift to the railway station and waits with us till the train arrives. Right on time as usual! An ICE (Inter Capital Express) fast train. First Class to Hamburg. Settle back and watch the countryside fly past. This is the way to travel, no waiting at airport terminals, just comfortable seats and complimentary arrival drinks! ... home to get ready for drinks (again!) and a BBQ dinner. A short stay in Zurich this time as we will be back again in a few weeks. Our second day is spent much the same as the first. After school we ride the bikes and take a walk to the top of the hill for the girls to show us the sights. Trying to catch up on my blog before it goes from my memory! ... s a whole network of trails up the mountainside, some catering to farmers who grow grass on the higher slopes, others cater to hikers. The higher I go, the better view I get of the valley, cliffs, forests, high mountain peaks, stretching on to the east and the west.
Finally I reach the trail that goes up to the base of the falls. I figure there's no point in hauling my backpack up, since I'm coming back the same way. And nobody steals anything here in the Alps... right?... ...
