We left the Netherlands early and headed for Germany, specifically Cologne (famous for the 4711 perfume) We spent some time in the square, looking at the magnificent gothic cathedral that towers over everything. A little free time and we headed to a few shops, especially the Lacoste store that displayed a huge array of colours. Sorry Jake, € …

... a large lake. The signs said 2 hours back to Engelberg... so I decided to hike down the mountain. A rough and rocky trip, with nothing but grand views and herds of cows to keep me company. as I drew to 30 mins from town I ran into some others heading up the hill. A beer and cheese platter for a late lunch, then a rest before dinner. Switzerland is a most beautiful part of the world. Tomorrow... ...

Today we are leaving for Switzerland. We are crossing the border and it will take about 7 hours to get there by car. We went through tunnels that were 10 and 17kms long. When we arrived we went up 71 stairs to our third floor apartment. The view was amazing, we could see the top of Mt. Titlis. The apartment was so beautiful. We got used to the different style of things quickly that night.

... to a watch and Swiss Army knife shop. It was so cool, and awesome selection of stuff. I bought a swatch watch. We then had some free time to walk around town and see a few things. I walked around the centre of town looking at the different shops. A lot of people walked up to the lion in the wall. A lot of people went to buy chocolate. We all met back at the Swiss Army knife shop to head back to the coach so that we can pick up our over night bags. We got told that the hotel ...

... and luckily neither of us thought it was at all gay to both wear them out together.
Leaving the Netherlands behind I headed for Switzerland in search of some of the lovely white stuff (snow! get your minds of drugs we have left Amsterdam now), but first I had to have a brief stop in Zurich to catch up with some friends.
My first day in Zurich I met up with a guy named Romedi that I met in Nicaragua. For those that know me you will remember that I had ...
