... we journeyed along the road about 40km or so to Davos/Klosters which is considerably higher than Landquart where we are now. Have never seen so much snow as the ploughs have turned the sides of the roads into 3m walls of pure white ice and as the snow continued to fall everything was feathered with soft fluffy powdery fresh snow. The reason for the group excursion was a farewell treat with the Kohler family and to celebrate Sam's 15th birthday. ...

... unless you count my continually crashing into the churned up snow and grinding to a halt. According to Vic, I was not going anywhere near fast enough, as she had no such problem. Whatever, tomorrow marks one week since this wonderful adventure and I can honestly say that for the first time since then, my bottom no longer hurts when I sit down, and I can walk normally! Guy exclaimed as he got a closer look that it was Justin Bieber and co on his "purple" custom painted bus peering out the front window at the snow falling. Even Sam agreed this was true and that is saying something not to disagree with Guy! Jess also saw him and confirmed the sighting! Perhaps they will be 'papped' on the mountain ...

Chalet Runca’s owners, Helen, Mike and kids, Austin and Sophie are lovely, if mad.
