(Erin this time.) Waking up in the Hotel Weisshorn is exactly like waking up in a cloud: whole villages and even birds were below us. Just as with dinner, we breakfasted in the dining room in the sky (sliced meats and assorted cheeses, yogurt and museli, breads with jam or Nutella). Although we could see no Alps for the rain clouds, still the view was all green hillside and rocky cliff, lovely and green the way Idaho is for maybe 6 weeks out of the year. We set out on our ...

... but returning to the same one to sleep each night - I realise I could do the same. After passing through Bern and Geneve I really want to set foot in them, and the Swiss train system is great (and free for Eurail holders). Finding my hostel takes a while, but I do see a fair bit of what looks like the main wealthy shopping street. The Alps are stunning, more so than those in France and Queenstown. We awoke to the sound of cows mooing. It was feeding time in the farm across the street. Our tent was chilly and dew drops had formed on the outside. I grabbed my jacket and stepped out of the tent heading down the hillside to the restroom area. Other happy campers greeted me as they broke down their tents - I thought I was up early... Back at the tent we set up for breakfast. Rolls, juice and yogurt were all perfectly chilled after being left outside for the night. Ready ...

... Instead we enjoyed our walk around the area and had plenty of time for photos. As we arrived back at the train station we noticed that they had added on an extra 5:00 train so we didn’t have to wait until 5:50 and we made much better connections on the way back to camp. At the bottom we swapped our shoes back and decided that though they were fairly comfy, our all-purpose walking shoes suited us fine for our purposes – plus they were so much ...

... I played around with Kinder Egg car for awhile. They eventually got up there from their hike. Dad, Susannah, and Allison were there. But where was Dallin? Dallin had gone up on a hill just above Allmendhubel, taking picture of the Alps. I climbed up there too, and, I gotta say, the view up there was even better, because some of the trees were out of the way. Allison met us up there. She and Dallin were sitting up there, chilling, when ...
