We awoke to the sound of cows mooing. It was feeding time in the farm across the street. Our tent was chilly and dew drops had formed on the outside. I grabbed my jacket and stepped out of the tent heading down the hillside to the restroom area. Other happy campers greeted me as they broke down their tents - I thought I was up early... Drove on to Interlaken, Switzerland, via Liechtenstein as the most direct route, borders just arbitrary lines on maps in this part of the (EU) world….into Swiss-chocolate box country: spectacular passes, tunnels, raging cliff-side waterfalls, icy-blue water rivers and lakes… beautiful country! Stayed at youth hostel, still relatively expensive compared to all places stayed so far… but ...

... machine. The others indicated that laundry soap is added automatically by the machines during the wash cycle, so it was nice not to have to deal with that. Cost was Ch$5 each for wash and dry. After putting the laundry in the Dryer, I headed for the station to have my Jungfrau Pass checked, as the documentation with the pass indicated that was necessary. The Agent hardly even looked at my Pass, and said I could use it right away.

As a side note (since Travelpod only allows a small number of characters in each photo caption), one of the toughest triathlon races is held here in 2 weeks. It consists of a 3.1k swim in chilly Lake Thun, a 97k road bike with a climb of 7037ft, a mountain bike of 30k with a climb of 3871ft and finally a 25k trail run with a climb of 7136ft. Sounds like fun and the scenery is a lot better than ...
