Day 5

Overcast today but still no rain. Easy day of 45 km. The pension is fabulous with saunas and a pool. We went for singles again at 35E each mitt frustuch. Much of the ride today was through oak and pine woods mixed with open meadow and marsh. Zander filet for dinner again tonight.
75 km tomorrow with 40% chance of rain. We stop in Wittenberg which is apparently the home of ...

Our acccommodation has been excellent. Werner booked a 4 star hotel that cost 99E mitt frustuch (with breakfast). It had two bathrooms, a living room and a massive deck. Along the route itself are many pensions catering to cyclists. The prices are around 45E for a double and 35E for a ...

So we left our
campsite at Wolfsburg following a bit of a rainy night, (I need to
make a fix for the leak above my head when asleep, if only I could
work out where it is coming from – Thats a joy of classic car
ownership I guess!) around 10:30 and decided to make a middle
overnight stop between Wolfsburg and Berlin, our next big city stop.

... for the Captain's Farewell reception and dinner. We started with champagne and canapes whilst the whole crew came in to say goodbye. Amazed to find there were only four room stewardesses, yet all our rooms were cleaned and tidied while we had breakfast. Dinner was then served - five courses. ... water was so clear. Couldn't get much more perfect than this!

That night there was a doors band and a led zeppelin band playing. We danced and drank and enjoyed then bunker once more until it closed at 6am. Then we went for a swim and it began to rain. the rain drops patted onto the water, I have never seen anything like it before, was so beautiful and the weather so mild, perfect swimming weather.
