Today was somewhat low-key. We had a chance to tour Sportgymnasium, Madison's host school. All the kids who attend are athletes. They come here because the curriculum and schedules are tailored around their training. Many of the students here have gone on to become top national and even Olympic athletes. Their sports range from soccer to hand ...

There were about 30 chairs in the converted attic on this floor and he said he could not get permission to utilize it for services (even though it was obviously being used for that purpose). Of course we had a long discussion on the money the town provided for this modification and remodeling of the property, some $80,000 Euros (approximately $90,000 ...

... was spent relaxing - reading (Val) and blogging (Syd). Just before 7pm we went a little way down the street and had a Donner-Teller (Donner on a plate with salad and chips) each and a beer. This was a large plate and very filling - 14euro for both! (good as well - we have rarely been disappointed with such a meal in Germany).

Returning to the hotel we repacked the bags and went to bed using our own sleeping bags as the hotel's doona was too ...
