    Day 9

Spending the night in Magdeburg. A beautiful little hotel right on the Elba Radweg. I still cannot believe the accommodation and dining options adjacent to the route. This hotel is 79E mitt frushstuch but there were many more pension options along the way. Our pension last night in Tangermunde was 50E with a knock-your-socks-off frushstuch. Also the cost of ...

Amazed to find there were only four room stewardesses, yet all our rooms were cleaned and tidied while we had breakfast. Dinner was then served - five courses. First course was salmon caviar and crisp potato cake or red oak leaf lettuce and caramelized pear salad, followed by the soup ...

... water was so clear. Couldn't get much more perfect than this!

That night there was a doors band and a led zeppelin band playing. We danced and drank and enjoyed then bunker once more until it closed at 6am. Then we went for a swim and it began to rain. the rain drops patted onto the water, I have never seen anything like it before, was so beautiful and the weather so mild, perfect swimming weather.

    After another late ...
