People were dressed up everywhere like it was Halloween and we later discovered it was a carnival.       ... is in celebrates All Saints Day on November 1st, so there are a lot of things that are closed. We still got a good feel for the city though. Tomorrow, we're renting the car and driving to Amsterdam! I'm nervous about driving somewhere where I can't read the signs!       ... many miles on the tram and underground, the lady on reception explained where to get on and off the tram and the timetable (every 20 mins) the station was only 5 mins walk from the hotel front door and a tram was waiting to depart when I got there.
