... old parts of Canadian cities) and Hall has many amazingly old and unique doorways. The food at the restaurant was quality fare and really felt like you got a taste of what a banquet must have seemed like 500 hundred years ago. The chainmail head covering was a little heavy but I stuck it out for the girls sake as the "Knight of the table". I requested that I be called that on subsequent nights but it never happened.

... for a walking tour of a very pretty Innsbruck (our hotel is in the center of town). While we obviously enjoyed the sights of Italy, it was great to be in the mountains again and see Bavarian (in this case Tyrolean) architecture.

We took a cable car one third of the way to the top of surrounding mountains. Tried to catch the gondola to the top but ...

... returning to OKTOBERFEST! We finally made it to the Oktoberfest grounds where we had trouble getting in because the tents had lock out. Where there is a will there is a way!!! ... Thanella. It was very cloudy towards the top and it was getting late, so we didn't quite make the summit. After we rugged up and had a little rest we hiked down, found somewhere to park for the night and cooked up a curry for dinner. The boys had a beer while we played some cards, then we fall asleep to the sound of rain on the roof. They're expecting snow here (1300m) tomorrow! ...
