... today had its hottest July day ever and Venice was stifling by the time I arrived mid-morning. So today’s travel dragging suitcases around with a train change in Verona was very uncomfortable. Even Innsbruck which is surrounded by mountains was over 30c when I arrived this afternoon.

... being to ascend the mountain overlooking Innsbruck via cable car. 6540 feet later and we were presented with another unbelievable view not only of the city but in every direction. We even walked a little further up to a small monument about 500 odd metres from where we had alighted the cable car.
