... was a very pleasant spot that lived up to its name. There was a great pool area and a very large bonsai section with some VERY old trees - all very beautifully trimmed. ... David decided he'd try for a new iPhone in the same complex. Same problem with the PIN. Then the fun began in trying to get some money out of an ATM. Again, 6 digits were required. A couple of phone calls to the appropriate money card banks we were using didn't help a great deal. ... to convey our concern to the front desk brought us a great deal of enjoyment.

We enjoyed our last dinner at the hotel in Kunshan (no dumplings though :( )

Our Chinese friends took us to a rock music club to celebrate our last night.

It was really empty when we got there at 7:30, but after about half an hour it was packed.

The band went on at 9:30 and the singer joked about never performing for this many foreigners.

... was a bit of a ‘hurry up and wait’ moment as the guy shoved us quickly onto a bus, then we waited an hour for the bus to fill up with tourists before we drove down to our starting point. The motorized boat carried about 30 or so people. The tour guide only spoke Chinese so Tammy and I just admired the views of the city through the rain-spattered window.
