        ... 2 halloween parties with kids. The parties that I went to were really fun, and the main costumes are vampires, witches, ghosts, or a bloody person.

        Michael: It was as busy (well more so for Julie) in getting the costumes ready for Halloween as it is in Canada. I liked that the school celebrated Halloween and the kids were able to wear their costumes for part of the school day. The excitement level for the kids was the same as Canada even if the candy haul ...

        ... Theo, said "what are those - you are supposed to have a snack box like everyone else." I had plastic baggies and everyone else had the big lunch boxes. We have recess at different times, there are no bells. And "math" is called "maths".

        ... sweet tooth, of course we all kept him company. On our return to Oberstaufen we detoured to the Wieskirche (white church) which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built in 1730 ten years after a farmer witnessed a statue oh Christ weeping. Millions of people each year make a pilgrimage to this beautiful and highly decorated Catholic Church. The dome ceiling is painted in pastel tones with murals of Christ's resurrection, the walls are white but with plenty of gilded ...

        ... a goat, it was quite small and it hurt one of its legs so it couldn't walk on it and was limping. We named him drie because he was only walking on 3 legs. Drie means 3. We took a little walk up the mountain and then we had a really nice view of another valley. We went out for dinner that night, and we had schniztel and I had goulash soup with a dumpling. And we had oktoberfest sausage, it was very good. We had such a good time. Next entry we will talk about our hikes. I hope you read ...
