    Staying for the night to be close to the castle.

    Tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, check in to Schlossrestaurant Neuschwanstein and walk around the Alpsee ended up crossing the boarded to Austria and had a great lunch in a town called Schluxen. Wow what a day.

    ... crossings in a morning - thank Christ there are no more border controls.

    This is supposed to be one of the most scenic drives in Europe. However, apart from rolling meadows, we didn't see any mountains due to the low cloud. We also had to be ultra careful riding due to the greasy road surfaces.

    Wow. Walking up in the alps with the cows and their bells, sun shining and green everywhere is breathtaking. We went to the castle.
