I caught the bus up to the Cathedral and climbed the 267 steps to the dome walk for some pretty lovely views of Berlin. The entry fee for the Cathedral was 7euros, which was probably a bit steep. The train ride was 3 hours each way. Saw some beautiful countryside. Returned to the ship by 8pm. Had pizza for dinner on Lido deck and then went to the late show to see an illusionist.

... it's cool !! We rode up the highest mountain in Berlin . Which took a total of 3 seconds ! Haha it is so flat everywhere, so much so that a sport had been invented called walking ... Older people tend to do it and all that is required is two of those hiking walking stick and a stern facial expression! The face is kind of like the whole Lycra trend back home !!! ... bunker was destroyed by the Soviets and covered with ugly apartments. We also went to a memorial for murdered Jews. It was a series of cement blocks slowly getting higher towards the middle and receding down again on all sides. There are no flat areas to walk as you make your way around. It has been left up to each individual for interpreting; I think it is a symbol of the rough road Jews have had throughout time reaching its height in the middle representing the tall blocks ...
