... In the first 15 minutes of the tour, I realized I didn't bring any type of hat, ear-warmers, or anything to keep my head warm. My friend and I took the first chance we got to sneak into a store during the tour and buy a hat. In my rush to buy the hat and catch up with the tour I got a rather ridiculous looking furry hat that was way too big for me.. But oh well, it kept me somewhat warm for the rest of the tour.. On the tour we went through Museum Island, ...

She received heaps of gifts too and was very happy to be starting school. We bought her a tin of Fabre castel pencils, a kids encyclopaedia and three window stickers from Australia with kangaroos and emus on them. Marc bought her a dictionary, an Adidas tshirt and a little orange toy thing. She loved it!

During the bus ride home I spent some time thinking about what a scary place the world can be, and how lucky and grateful I am for everything. I ended the day downstairs at Igel’s café, he is a real sweetie, and the food and wine were wonderful…an almost perfect day in Berlin.

Be well and happy my dears. Ciao,
