... 12 bodies on top of one another to save space. We also saw the Lennon wall, the Metronome, and the castle. The bad part about the day was that my dad got pick pocketed (most likely on the tram). ... It's a little bit different atmosphere walking around here, and we're trying to blend in, although I feel as though we REALLY stick out. Everyone seems very well dressed and "cool." I really like it here. When we got back from Bamberg today there was a festival in Weiden, so after we went to a Greek restaurant and got 3 rounds of free ouzo, we joined in to sing with a backstreet boys' cover band with some other Germans. It was great. Can't wait for tomorrow ...

... nestled beside the large and fast flowing Rhine River. It suffered over 240 bombing raids during the second World War and the allies used the magnificent towers of the Cologne cathedral as a point of reference when conducting the raids. Thankfully the cathedral itself was not severely damaged and today it is a sight to behold. We accidentally purchased tickets to climb to near the top of one the spires however ...

... I was using a diesel pump!). So when the attendant came out to help, she discovered that the nozzle had been damaged, which is why it wouldn't fit. Moved over to another pump and problem solved.

Got to Rothenburg about 5:00 and found our hotel in the historic district. Really a neat place.

Tommorow we head to Koblenz for 2 nights along the Rhine. More then.

Up and off early. We beat Mr Annoying to it! Our plan was to travel the Romantische Straße (Romantic Road). We refuelled and found our road. The first town was Creglingen.
