    ... town of Hallstatt on the other side of the lake, is NOT free. It only costs €2.50 each, one way, but I'd read in a few places that it was part of the train fare. As you can see from the photo, there was a lot of cloud and it was raining. But pretty awesome all the same!

    Unfortunately, there was no Tourist Information near where the ferry docked. And the shops don't have awnings like in Australia. There were a lot of wet people milling ...

    ... busy and some tourist from China walked in, instead of waiting to be seated they started to try and move people so they could sit down. The owner was trying to stop them he was not angry just frustrated as they really did not understand what was happening. As we have learnt you can board the train early and this time we did not book a seat. we sat in a grouping of four which enabled us to have our bags with us and not have to put it up above us.
