          ... fine to us.

Very warm and cozy place. We had a good meal and a wonderful beer, Landskrom, brewed locally. Maybe one of the best beers we've had yet on this trip. It's so hard to tell, as there are so many good beers here.

Back in our room, we enjoyed seeing the lights of the town from our windows. We snuggled in for the night.

Tomorrow: Catching a bit more of Görlitz and on to Rothenburg Ober de Tauber.

... had been the location for the filming of the "Grand Old Budapest Hotel" movie, in which an old department store had been refurbished and renovated for the film. I think they now plan on turning it back into a department store. David was pretty chuffed as he loved this movie, so we set off to find the building. First we sat and enjoyed a yummy German sausage and some cherries that we bought at a local market. The buildings in town were about as cute ...

... is 64kms N-W of Prague, a 10th century walled town, now with a population of 25000. The main square has a number of buildings designed by Italian architects with the Town Hall having a watch tower in the shape of a chalice, the symbol of the town. There are a number of gothic churches with the Cathedral of St Stephen built in the 17th century. To finish we visited a microbrewery for a beer ...

-was a bit tricky to find the rental car place but got there eventually. Got our cute little Fiat n we were off. Grabbed our luggage n plotted our course to Bad Schandau n we were off
-was a bit of a windy road n took longer than I expected but pretty painless overall. We were in Bad S by mid afternoon n got checked in then went out to explore the town n get tummy ...

Dramatic scenery and a town just our size!

... Schandau which was fine. Turns out we r staying in a hotel across the river from the main town.
-L took a well earned nap while I took the ferry to go c the town. Quaint w hikes n river promenade n the only bad thing is the busy road through the center. Cute town though n worth exploring.
-I went back to catch my ferry but it seemed like I had ...
