Styria, Austria
... I spent the entire day there grazing on my snacks, with my new book, sketch book, and camera. I hopped around to different spots and did lots of people watching. I saw two people practicing walking on a tight rope... and a couple of jugglers. It was great to do absolutely nothing, and I didn’t miss the galleries or museums.

Off to Vienna for a few days in the morning, and then to Paris to finish out the final two weeks of my trip!
Graz, Styria, Austria lolly13... and had some very memorable experiences with some very special people :) It was also fun to share some family history with Warren, and for him to see where my family comes from. Yay for family!

Thanks for reading,
Emy (& Warren)

*You know you are a backpacker when: The feeling of finally doing laundry is on par with the excitement of opening presents on Christmas.

** Warren does not actually own or love leather pants.
Graz, Styria, Austria emyandwarren... heard a loud BONG! It was the church bell in the church right behind us! Unfortunately, the bell went off EVERY fifteen minutes and it was so loud-I don’t know how the people in that town deal with it. Needless to say, we did not get a very good night’s sleep; even with earplugs it was so loud and while I didn’t wake up to every ringing, I definitely woke up to plenty. We had an early start as well but once we were on the road we were okay.

Austria, Austria ronan98oh oh oh this is the most beautiful place. We picked up big Mama our motorhome and she is very big - like a bus. No really like a bus. Graham will be driving. We drove from Munich to Vienna in about 6 hours and then slept for 11 hours. Today we went into the city by bus and train and then went on a tour in a horse drawn carriage - just the best thing. Then we had a schnitzel and next to us was a man with the best looking German Shepherd - so we have Inspector Rex on duty!! Then we walk ...
Camping West, Vienna, Austria falkewind... just went down the pedestrian street a ways, and the hotel we would find there was just as nice. So we took his advice and ended up here, which is exactly as he described. The pedestrian street is long and full of interesting shops and restaurants, leading to the centre square. Our hotel is at the far end, where the pedestrian street meets the car-friendly roads. Just above us is a castle. It is illuminated with colourful lights at night.
<br ...
Bruck an der Mur, Styria, Austria travelingdiva... to visit 2009 Germany, he would find a completely different place from the Germany he left.

Today was an interesting day in Munich as it was not just an ordinarily busy Saturday, but also coincided with the Munich version of Gay Pride. I joked that Hitler’s bones were shuddering in their grave (if such a grave exists) and that Ludwig II’s were dancing to “YMCA.” This is but one more example ...
Austria, Austria tfsnews... The rain did spoil it somewhat though - it would have been so much prettier without it. On our return bus trip we left Austria and entered Germany on our way back to the boat which had now moored in Passau. Passau is a frontier town between Germany & Austria & known as 'the Town of the Three Rivers' - it is at the junction of the Inn, Danube & the ...
Linz/Salzburg/Passau, Vienna, Austria wmagill... from Praque to Budapest. We drove on Hwy 3 along the Danube River and beautiful vineyards. Stopped in Altmunster which backs onto Lake Traunsee and follwed the mountain roads into the Alps. www.inneres-salzkammergut.at Tiny villages built right onto the rocks over the clear lakes and until we reached Halstatt. Unfortunately the many Info centers do not have info about all of Austria - only their little areas and ...
Halstatt, Austria millarmotortourHi Everyone, Well my turn to stack it on the slopes and it was a doozey... twisted my ankle and swollen knee - the things we do!
