... straight roads right now, but Slovenia here I come, then Croatia.
I'm ashamed to say I've now done both Slov's in one day, one day I will come back and see them properly.
The change between borders still never surprises me, it's so odd how neighbours are so different, and another strange thing is how different they smell, you won't get that in a car, but on the bike it's really odd.
Total mileage 186 Great walking weather today, sunny and cool. Today was our last time crossing the border into Austria we are now spending the next couple of days in Hungary. The countryside in this area is not dissimilar to the UK. We are both exhausted tonight looking forward to a few beers and a decent meal (I doubt the meal will be decent but the beer will be good). ... as it headed back the way we come and climbed the short, but steep path to the top of the park. The park had a few cafes and restaurants, but also still had remnants of the past. The two main sites are the massive clock tower, Uhrturm and the bell tower, Glockenturm. Interesting fact is while the castle was never conquered the fortress was largely demolished by Napoleonic forces in 1809, and the city paid a ransom to not have either of these structures destroyed.
