Grazing in Graz

... stairs behind me and decided to take the risk, no way I wanted to tackle those stairs with my bag and I wasn’t feeling particularly well. I thought “At least if I get stuck, I can nap until someone sets me free.” I fantasized about snoozing in the elevator, head on my bag, and snapped to as the door began to close... on me.

Got to my room. Opened the door and was greeted with a stench of cigarettes, and something ...

A City of Family and Tradition

... is lit up and glowing blue (mmm, bluuuue...), so it looks REALLY cool at night. The structure has two bridges; one goes to one river bank, and the other to the other. The cool thing about it is that it's not really built on an island, but the structure is an island itself.

The next day, Michaela took us to the Friedhof (graveyard) where my great grandparents as well as her parents are buried. We put flowers on my Ur Omi and Ur Opa's ...

Graz

... around-it really was pretty cool. Some of the clocks went off for about five minutes at least-we thought it may have been due to the fact that it was 6 o’clock but they also did it an hour later at 7 so it must be a regular thing there. We walked down the stairs after spending about an hour up at the top and grabbed yet another pizza (makes number five of the trip so far but they are a cheap option when you are out!). Walking back to the van, we ...

Raining cats and dogs in Graz

... for me, as I'm a vegetarian), cheese, salads, yoghurt, coffee, tea, milk, juices, fruit, jam, nutella... really really good.
After breakfast we take a shower and wait for the rain stops. It never happens, so finally at midday we decide taking our useless umbrellas and go to do some sightseeing. It's not very convenient touring around carrying an umbrella, bags and the camera, but we have no choice if we want to see ...

D'r staat een berg midden in Graz!!

... heel actief stilstaan. ..NS zet bussen in...

Where in the World is GRAZ

... rest stop- our usual meat and cheese on panini bread. We found our next stop at the town of Graz where we found a campsite just out of town on the tram route. This site was clean and well run and allowed us to do our laundry. Beside the camp was public pool which is the biggest pool we had ever seen. It had ducks on it and water features in the middle. We had a refreshing swim before it closed in the evening which is lucky we did as the weather turned cold the next day. We had ...
