    ... pretty much an elaborate staircase at the top of a hill. Sounds lame but was actually quite a neat little structure to see and walk through. We then headed back into Düsseldorf.     The third day of the march is called the seven hills walk. I have never actually managed to count the hills, partly because most of them only constitute gentle slopes and partly because there are about 9 gentle slopes and two minor uphills that could realistically be described as hills. It is a problem to know which qualify and which do not.

    About 35 years-- that's how long! Denise went into town to do some shopping and I stayed at home to do some tidying up which developed into a full-blown detail clean of the galley floor-- which needed it. One cannot make an interesting blog chapter out of that topic so I will not try. We planned to go to dinner at the restaurant shown in one of yesterday's photos but I was so engrossed in cleaning I forgot to book. Missed out. More ...

    Today was a girls only day, a full day of shopping in Oberhausen Germany, this is a 50 minute drive for us (my family lives 10 minutes from the German border). The Germans are very rude people, not friendly at all. The shopping centre we went to is huge, makes Shellharbour Square look very small, we didn't get the see the whole centre, especially with the way Jennifer, her daughter Merlin and Katie like to shop in every shop. ...
