    ... hotel. I was expecting to be ejected any minute, but we finished our picnic and walked back onto the street. Eventually, by asking again we came through Krefeld and had our first glimpse of the Rhine. We could not ride along the river as we had hoped, but had to divert away to pass all the heavy industry spread out on the waterfront.
