The buildings were all decorated and painted in unique design and the shops had such wonderful things, it didn't take us long before we were full with souvenirs. To finish the day we walked around the town on top of the wall, which was open to the public to admire the town from a height.

... didn't find much. I bought a beanie for Karen and a few for me. I need something to keep my head warm in the winter in London. The weather forecast was supposed to be not so great in the early evening so I decided to head to the airport early. Driving the Mini Cooper was fantastic. Lots and lots of fun on the autobahn. After dark, I went on the night watchman's tour. This was a lot of fun actually. The guide was in character (hilarious) and gave us a great history lesson of the city. After the tour I walked the wall back to my hostel which was actually kinda spooky because there are parts that are closed in like a tunnel. I had to feel around in the dark. I must admit, when I walked out of our hotel in Rothenburg, I felt like I was walking through Belle's village in Beauty and the Beast. I loved everything about that town. There were adorable shops, little bakeries and restaurants all through the town. The pictures tell so much more about this town than I could ever describe, so definitely check those out. ... the tower for an excellent view of the city. Rothenburg is situated on the Tauber River and looks so very pretty now in the autumn with the leaves turning red and golden yellows.

There are well known shops here called Kathe Wohlfahrt Xmas shops which have an enormous variety of Xmas trinkets. There is also a Xmas museum attached to the shop.This Kathe is doing very well as there are 9 of her shops ...
