... plowing down the aisle in REVERSE! I guess she forgot to put her contacts in that morning in the eyes in the back of her head! Thank goodness my guardian angel was on duty, and my ankle was okay. This delayed me about 30 seconds in getting off the train. ... much in awe as MJ and I were (even though we have been before). There is something magical about Rothenburg. Even found the puppet show theatre where we attended with our gang so many years ago (the puckfest weekend - who could forget).

Another Bavarian lunch with wine or beer and soup, bratwurst with sauerkraut and strudel for dessert. It never really gets old.

... Gasthof was as downtown as possible.

The mood was Christmas as it was chilly and the typical German overcast day. The decorations about town were Christmas colors. We entered many shops, especially devoted to Christmas. The ornaments were unfortunately outrageously expensive or likely made in China. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the town.

... at a little town called Lorch, found a bakery and had some lunch. Topped up the diesel for the first time since we've had it and were on our way again. Diesel is about €1.10 ( approx $1.50). The van has excellent economy.
