... We watch 3 short films about the area, the fort and the baths and then wandered over the complex. It was well documented and once you worked out that the baths were remodeled twice it became easy to understand the labyrinth of rooms and foundations. It was very interesting. The best was yet to come we caught the train again but this time to Solnhofen. In the 1960s the town became famous for the huge number of fossils discovered in the town ...

... time not so easy as they were either closed or booked out. Finally though we did get our rooms at a Schloss hotel Ravenstein. Such a lovely place with so much history. Their website shows it is a 'House full of surprises' and it certainly is!
