... going all the way to Linz in Austria. We will be in Dubrovnik before we know it at this rate. Today was interesting. Not in any outstanding way but just enjoying looking out the window at all the different scenery and wondering what all these people do with there lives. We still managed to see some amazing sites in this town and I'm sure there will be more ...

Arrived at Linz today which is the third largest city in Austria. Population 200,000, and is home Austria's largest steel company. From here we travel in the historic Majestic Emperor train to Salsberg. The train is very ornate and gives you an idea of what it was like to travel in style so many years ago. Empty tummies satisfied we then cycled the few ...

25km, 8-16deg, cloudy and cool with a few spots of rain. Awoke to a nicer day, although the sun was still hiding. Brekkie was at the bakery downstairs; coffee and a bread roll. Headed out about 9:30am behind our tour leader for the day, Gunther. First we visited the town square (1265) of Braunau am Inn across the bridge from our hotel in Simbach am Inn into Austria. It just so happens there ...

... of paths (both gravel & bitumen) along the Inn River or quiet back roads or great off-road cycle paths filled the day. A stiff tailwind pushed us along nicely and the kms clicked over fairly easy. The coffee/bakery options were fairly scarce but we managed to sniff one out at the little town of Marktl which pleased the caffeine addicts. By then we only had 10 odd km to go so we skipped the lunch stop in favour of a warm, dry hotel room. A really efficient ...
