... the opportunity! We traded off rowing, which was hard at first but easy to get the hang off. We rowed through beautiful trees, lily pads and duck families. No one was around us. The sun was out and it turned out to be a perfect day! After an hour and half row boating, we dock and get moving back to our hotel. We are exhausted, so much walking today and my left leg is so tense. We stop by the market for a snack and get back to take a ...

We woke up early and caught a morning bus to Bremen. Super short and easy 1.5hr drive from Hamburg and we reach the beautiful little city of Bremen. We get settled and do a quick sink laundry of our underwear and get going. Our hotel is a 10 minute walk to all of the action ...

One in particular had a design of sailing ships and lighthouses to which Johanna's mother exclaimed "Urgh, so typisch Norddeutsch"....having experienced as much of Germany as I had, this internal joke reminiscent of England's North-South divide gave me a warm chuckle.

... tiny appliances. Surely a hobbit lived here in the past. The refrigerator is so tiny and so is the single oven. The microwave might hold a full size dinner plate at best. The table seats two chairs and a high chair for Liam. Kate usually grocery shops once per week due to refrigerated space and shelves for dry goods. From the kitchen you can walk out to a deck, which is very relaxing. The deck fence is covered in purple grapes with a very invasive grape bush. They have a medium ...
